State Road 844, locally known as the Northeast 14 Street Causeway, is a 0.9 mile-long east–west street crossing the Intracoastal Waterway and connecting (U.S. Route 1-State Road 5) and (State Road A1A) in Pompano Beach, Florida. One of the shortest highways numbered by the Florida Department of Transportation, State Road 844 passes through a suburban residential area east of Pompano Beach Airpark, Pompano Beach Municipal Golf Course, and Pompano Citi Centre.
State Road 844 is one of only two east–west Florida State Roads in South Florida that do not intersect, pass over, or pass under an expressway. The other is State Road 9336, which provides a primary access into Everglades National Park in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
